Owls and Flowers On holiday in Wales, the girl wanders into a junk shop to get out of the rain. To amuse herself whilst waiting for the downpour to stop, she poses before a mirror, wearing different combinations of musty old costumes and bric a brac. For some inexplicable reason, the odd owl helmet and the cheap, plastic flower ring seem to go together, and are strangely familiar... She stands mesmerised by her own reflection for some while, almost failing to notice when the rain stops. Inspired by The Owl Service by Alan Garner

Shaman Owl A man wearing an owl mask? A shaman becoming an owl? An owl spirit presenting in man form? Or the archetype of wisdom and the esoteric that Owl has become..?

Sly Fox Sly - not evil. Slipping into shadow, cleverly escaping the hunt, living close to man yet on his own terms. A survivor, a thief, an outlaw, a rebel; a spirit of resistance.

WinterWolf The depths of Winter. You dream a she-wolf runs towards you out of the forest - out of the snow. You are transfixed. She carries a key in her mouth and drops it at your feet before disappearing back into the shadows between the trees. You pick up the key. It is still warm from her breath, and you wonder how long till Spring.

Stone Trees, Rock Pool Is it the moonlight that makes the circle of trees appear as stone? Or is this actually a stone circle? Or the one overlayed in spirit on the spirit of the other? The girl is obviously moonbathing - but her purpose is also clearly magical. Has she just completed a ritual, or is she feeling the moment in preparation, just about to begin?

Sleep Scrawly successful doodle that sort of reminded me of my sleeping daughter, and seemed to be saying something about being caught in the 'web' of sleep or something. Or maybe she's been sleeping for a hundred years? I like it anyway.
